There is a belief that if anyone does not offer sacrifice in this temple, his family goes mad or any unpleasant incident happens to his family. We are talking about Bharkurra village of Chitrakoot district. If any person of this village performs auspicious work in his house, then first of all animals are sacrificed at the place of Bade Dev Baba. Whoever does not do this, it is believed that Dev Baba either drives him mad, or some unpleasant incident happens to that family.

Villager Kamlesh told that when a girl or a boy gets married. Then the animal is sacrificed here. They say that when the girl returns home after her marriage, an animal is sacrificed in the form of Dahinvara in the temple of this god. He told that whoever does not do this, some unpleasant incident happens to that family.
The entire wedding procession went crazy when the puja was not given.
He told that once upon a time. A wedding procession had come to this village. Because he had not offered sacrifice to Bade Dev Baba, Bade Dev Baba had driven all the people present in that marriage procession crazy. He says that this tradition has been going on for many generations. He told that this Dev Baba also protects our village and whatever we ask from him with a true heart, all our wishes are fulfilled.
